Dolph Chianchiano

ASN Biography

In his 42-year career Dolph Chianchiano has assisted voluntary health agencies and patient and professional organizations with their public policy and government relations initiatives and helped develop and administer their research, and continuing education programs. He has been on the staff of the American Heart Association, the Associated Medical Schools of New York, and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF). While at NKF, he facilitated the launch of 3 journals published by the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) as well as the inauguration of the NKF Clinical Nephrology Meetings, and of the NKF Young Investigator Grant program, KDOQI Research Grant Program, and the NKF Clinical Scientist Award. He also coordinated NKF outreach to the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Health Resources and Services Administration, the Food and Drug Administration, the Organ Procurement and Transplant Network, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Since retirement in 2011, he has continued to serve the NKF as a consultant. Dolph Chianchiano is a member of the New York Bar, and the New York City Bar Association. He also holds a master’s degree in Health Policy from New York University, and volunteers at the Medicare Rights Center in Manhattan.
