Charge
The charge to the Finance Committee will be to advise the Council on investment policy and performance. The committee will meet at regular intervals and review the following:
- Overall investment policy.
- The level of reserve funds with reference to annual Society expenses.
- The performance and investment strategies of individual fund managers.
- (The committee will meet at least annually with the Society's wealth management advisor.)
- The distribution of funds between investment managers.
Membership
The Finance Committee will be chaired by the Secretary-Treasurer. Other members of the Finance Committee will consist of two additional members of Council as well as ASN members from outside of Council who have recognized expertise and experience in finance. The Executive Director will serve as a nonvoting ex-officio member of the committee.
Term
Term for the Secretary-Treasurer is limited by duration of office held. Other members serve staggered three-year terms.
