Session Description

Digital pathology and imaging are fast becoming mainstream for diagnostic renal pathology and clinical trials. The implications in a global world are discussed with practical, legal, and reproducibility/competence issues. In this session, podometrics, a research tool thus far for progressive kidney disease, is presented.

Session Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to: 1. describe digital pathology in the practice of renal pathology worldwide; 2. discuss digital pathology for clinical trials; and 3. utilize digital imaging for kidney diseases.
