MD Anderson Onco-Nephrology Symposium 2016
October 14 - October 14, 2016
Location: Houston, TX
Kidney disease is quite common in patients with cancer. As cancer treatments advance in efficacy and scope, the sequelae upon the kidney and bodily homeostasis become increasingly complex to diagnose and manage. There exists a very real need for nephrologists, oncologists, and trainees to develop proficiency at recognizing and treating the unique renal syndromes that arise in the setting of cancer.
MD Anderson is taking this opportunity to educate physicians about the subspecialty of Onco-Nephrology and believes this conference will teach health professionals about the salient challenges encountered at the intersection of Oncology and Nephrology. This conference will be of value to nephrologists, oncologists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners who have an interest in kidney disease or electrolyte complications.
