Scheduled for September 25-28, 2008, in Rome, Italy, this symposium will consider and discuss - among others - Immunopathogenesis of CAD; Risk Factors; Pathology; Immunosuppression; and Novel Strategies for Management, based on the knowledge that to date, the success of kidney transplantation has been limited by three major challenges: development of progressive chronic allograft dysfunction; the need to continue life-long immunosuppression to prevent rejection; and the development of post-transplant complications that is also related to continuous drug therapy.
