Renal Week 2011: Call for Content & Faculty Suggestions
ASN is soliciting content and faculty suggestions for ASN Renal Week 2011. The Program Committee and Postgraduate Education Committee request suggestions by Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 4:00 p.m. EDT.
- BCSS or CNC Suggestions: Members Only! A Basic and Clinical Science Symposium (BCSS) reports on current basic science research or clinical science research in nephrology as well as updates and translates this knowledge to clinical practice. A Clinical Nephrology Conference (CNC) reviews and/or integrates new knowledge into the current state of clinical practice in the care of patients with kidney disease. Submit a suggestion for a BCSS or CNC.
- Special Session Suggestions: By ASN Invitation Only! A Special Session is a two-hour educational activity that falls outside of the description of a Basic and Clinical Science Symposium (BCSS) or a Clinical Nephrology Conference (CNC). A Special Session updates or highlights recent advances or report current data /information related to kidney disease that is of interest to nephrologists. Submit a suggestion for a Special Session.
- IDNC Suggestions: An In-Depth Nephrology Course is a one- or two-day educational activity that is focused on a specific area of nephrology, e.g., CKD, interventional, pathology, basic research, and others. These courses are similar to an "intensive" treatment of a particular focused area of the field and are designed to address the subject in-depth. The target audience may be the general nephrologist, the sub-specialist nephrologist, or the investigator. Submit a suggestion for an IDNC.
Please note that submissions may be accepted as is, combined with others, or declined. ASN cannot notify each submitter regarding the submission status. ASN will send invitations to faculty of accepted sessions in early 2011.
