Mobile Support
What is Mobile Support?
Efforts have been made to make the ASN Website viewable in all modern mobile devices, including cell phones, PDAs, and other handheld devices. This is done through browser detection and the use of alternate stylesheets for the purpose of conforming the content to provide optimal viewing on your device. However, it should be noted that there are certain elements within the ASN website that will not be available on your device, such as some Flash content. Where available, the Flash content is substituted with XSLT-driven HTML content. In the event of a discrepancy, the full version of the ASN site should be considered the "official" site, and that version should be consulted.
Mobile View
The ASN site has a special "Mobile View" that can be used on your mobile device for easier reading and "finger navigation". This view has been optimized for iPhone/iPod/Android devices and is considered to be in Beta for all other mobile devices. The option to toggle between the two views is detected and presented on the front page of the ASN website when visiting the site using a device with a resolution of under 800 x 600. You can preview this style using the toggle below.
Please note that it may appear differently in your current browser.
Other Handheld Media
Many devices have support for the media="handheld" meta tag, which has been placed on all pages on the ASN website. If this meta tag is supported, then your browser will select the mobile stylesheet for display. You can preview this by visiting the ASN website on your mobile device, or by using a browser with mobile viewing support, such as Opera's Small Screen option (View > Small Screen). You can download the latest version of the Opera browser at http://www.opera.com.
