FASN Criteria
Requirements for the clinical pathway to FASN status are:
- Active Board certification in nephrology, pediatric nephrology, or pathology with a specialization in renal pathology. International candidates may submit an equivalent credential.
- 70 hours of CME credit earned annually
- ASN membership
and one of the following - public service, teaching, an ASN activity, publications, or grant funding and support.
Requirements for the investigator pathway are:
- ASN membership
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at Renal Week
- Grant support and funding
and one of the following - public service, teaching, an ASN activity, nephrology Board certification, or 70 hours of CME credit earned annually.
