ASN Advocacy: 21st Century Cures Act Passes House
In a rare show of bipartisan support, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a top ASN legislative priority. The 21st Century Cures Act will help patients with kidney disease by speeding the discovery, development, and delivery of new treatments. The bill provides NIH an additional $8.75 billion and the FDA an additional $550 million. The Senate is currently developing its own version of the bill.
