Pam Duquette

ASN Biography
Pam Duquette is a Senior Administrative Coordinator in the Living Kidney Donor office of the Johns Hopkins Hospital Comprehensive Transplant Center. In addition to guiding living donors through extensive workups, she has run several cohorts of the Live Donor Champion program- an education seminar for patients on the Johns Hopkins kidney waiting list. Pam has been a member of NephCure Kidney International since 2004 when her daughter presented with Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). She has spoken at NEPTUNE (The Nephrotic Syndrome Study Network) conferences sponsored by the NIDDK (National Institute for Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases), presented cases at a FDA-sponsored Public Meetings on Patient-Focused Drug Development and participated in several Kidney Advocacy Days on Capitol Hill. She served as a member of the Patient and Family Partnership Council of the Kidney Health Initiative (KHI) in Washington D.C. (American Society of Nephrology, 2015-2019) Pam's experience as caregiver and patient advocate during her daughter's struggle with FSGS (which included 172 hospitalizations, 22 surgeries, hemo and peritoneal dialysis and living donor transplant) provides a unique perspective from which she continues to make an effective contribution to the kidney community.
