The American Society of Nephrology (ASN)—which represents nearly 16,000 physicians, scientists, nurses, and other health professionals dedicated to leading the fight against kidney disease—seeks a full-time Accountant.

Reporting to the ASN Director of Financial Operations, the Accountant will work with development staff, external auditors, and outsourced Certified Public Accountants. This position supports the Accounting Department in accounting operations of the association (and its foundation), to include all financial reporting, accounting functions, and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.  This position will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies and risks and recommending corrective actions.

The ideal candidate will have a 3-6 years experience in accounting or project management. The ideal candidate will have excellent financial and interpersonal skills, exceptional writing ability and oral communications skills, advanced Microsoft Office skills along with experience in nonprofit accounting.
