What is Mobile Support?
Efforts have been made to make the ASN Website viewable in all modern mobile devices, including cell phones, PDAs, and other handheld devices. This is done through browser detection and the use of alternate stylesheets for the purpose of conforming the content to provide optimal viewing on your device. However, it should be noted that there are certain elements within the ASN website that will not be available on your device, such as some Flash content. Where available, the Flash content is substituted with XSLT-driven HTML content. In the event of a discrepancy, the full version of the ASN site should be considered the "official" site, and that version should be consulted.
The ASN site has a special "Mobile View" that can be used on your mobile device for easier reading and "finger navigation". This view has been optimized for iOS, WebOS, and Android devices and is considered to be in Beta for all other mobile devices. Devices with a resolution of under 800 x 600 will be automatically detected and the ASN website content will be presented in mobile view. You can toggle between the mobile version and the full version of the website by using the link in the footer that appears while in mobile view. You can preview this style by using the buttons below.
Please note that it may appear differently in your current browser.
Other Handheld Media
Previous versions of the ASN website had supported the media="handheld" meta tag, but this method is now considered deprecated in favor of targeting modern handheld devices. However, efforts have still been made to present content in a one-column format in all handheld devices, regardless of operating system, to ensure that the site is still accessible.
