FASN Requirements & Application
ASN members who earn the status of "Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology" (FASN) have distinguished themselves through professional excellence and achievement. This designation represents recognition by the society of outstanding credentials, meritorious professional accomplishments, demonstrated scholarship, and a commitment to improving kidney health.
FASN status remains valid for the duration of ASN membership as long as members:
- Complete 70 hours of continuing medical
education credits biennially or
- Remain licensed or
- Maintain certification (by one of the American
Board of Medical Specialty's certification boards)
International members qualified for FASN status may submit equivalent credentials.
To apply, please complete and mail the attached form to ASN, along with your curriculum vitae (CV). ASN will acknowledge receipt of your application by email and contact applicants if additional information is required.
