AKI: Oh What to Do?

Session Description

This session reviews AKI in the context of systemic disease. The potential impact of fluid therapy on AKI and the role of therapeutic plasma exchange in the context of renal diseases are also discussed.

Session Objectives

Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to: 1. identify and treat renal diseases in obstetrics patients; 2. describe causes of AKI in patients with malignancy; 3. discuss the potential impact of chloride rich fluids on renal function and patient outcomes; and 4. describe the clinical indications for therapeutic plasma exchange in the context of renal diseases.
