Information on Partnering with ASN
What is the American Society of Nephrology?
The American Society of Nephrology (ASN), a leader in the nephrology community, is a not-for-profit organization founded in 1967 to enhance and assist the study and practice of nephrology; provide a forum for the promulgation of research; and meet the professional and continuing education needs of its members.
How Can My Organization Gain Access to the Nephrology Community?
The ASN's Renal Week is the ideal week for reaching practicing physicians, allied health professionals, bench scientists, or administrators in the field of nephrology. Physicians, medical offices, dialysis units, and molecular, cellular, physiologic, and pathologic research laboratories need your products and services, so you won't want to miss the opportunity to reach 14,000 meeting registrants.
What is Renal Week?
The ASN's Renal Week 2008, to be held November 4 – 9, 2008 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, PA includes:
Postgraduate Education Courses, November 4 and 5
The annual meeting is preceded by two days of postgraduate education courses designed to incorporate emerging science into bedside nephrology to make the lectures, symposia, and presentations that follow that week more accessible to all attendees.
ASN's 41st Annual Meeting and Scientific Exposition, November 6 – 9
The most prominent and central activity of the society is its annual meeting. The ASN annual meeting has become the preeminent nephrology meeting in the world today, attracting nearly 14,000 attendees and over 4,400 abstracts. Researchers and clinical nephrologists from around the world gather to hear and present the latest information on kidney structure, function, disease, and treatment modalities. In addition, clinical nephrology conferences provide immediate practical information for the physician treating patients with kidney or related diseases.
Other Meetings and Activities
13th Annual Board Review Course & Update
The ASN's 13th Annual Board Review Course & Update, to be held August 23 – 29, 2008 at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA has become a "Renal Rite of Passage." This meeting provides an intensive review and update for ALL and a MUST for Certification & Re-Certification. The timing of the ASN Board Review Course & Update in late August maximizes attendees' readiness for the October Nephrology Board certification and recertification examinations of the American Board of Internal Medicine. After completion of the course and the self-assessment test, participants have a full two months to fill in any gaps in their knowledge. It's August, It's San Francisco, So it must be the ASN's Board Review Course!
Renal WeekEnds 2009
The ASN's Renal WeekEnds 2009, to be held in several cities throughout North America next winter, offers a forum for expert faculty to summarize, critique, and put into perspective key presentations from the preceding Renal Week. Renal WeekEnds are perfect not only for those of you who couldn't attend Renal Week but also for those November attendees who missed several key presentations. Renal WeekEnds are the best way to catch up on what you missed at Renal Week!
What are the various recognition levels and benefits?
