It is essential that we help the public and lawmakers recognize the importance of research in understanding the link between kidney disease and cardiovascular disease. World Kidney Day is a prime opportunity for the kidney community to raise awareness about improving the health of millions of kidney and heart patients.

ASN World Kidney Day Efforts
ASN is participating in World Kidney Day by advocating for continued, sustained funding of medical research, guaranteeing lifesaving immunosuppressive drugs for patients, and improving the success of kidney transplants. ASN leaders will meet with members of Congress to raise these important issues and to discuss the growing public health burden of kidney disease.
