Getting Around in San Diego

San Diego, CA is serviced by the San Diego International Airport (SAN). The airport is approximately 4 miles from San Diego Convention Center. Please see below for information regarding travel to and from the airport as well as information on how to get around the city.

ASN Hotel Shuttle

ASN has arranged a shuttle between select official ASN hotels and the convention center. Please note that hotels that are considered to be walking distance from the convention center will not be serviced by the ASN shuttles. Shuttle Service will be provided from the following hotels: Andaz Hotel San Diego, The Bristol San Diego, Embassy Suites By Hilton San Diego Bay-Downtown, Hampton Inn San Diego-Downtown, Hotel Republic San Diego, A Marriott Autograph Collection, Porto Vista Hotel, Residence Inn San Diego Downtown, The Sofia Hotel San Diego, The US Grant, A Marriott Luxury Collection Hotel, The Westgate Hotel, Westin Gaslamp Quarter, Wyndham San Diego Bayside Hotel. Airport Shuttle

Shuttle service is available to and from downtown San Diego hotels, the Gaslamp area, and the Convention Center. Shuttle service is available at the Transportation Plazas across from Terminals 1 and 2. From Terminal 1, cross the skybridge and take the escalators or the elevators to street level. From Terminal 2, use the pedestrian crosswalk conveniently located outside the Terminal 2 Baggage Claim Area to access the Transportation Plaza. A Customer Service Representative will place you with the first available shuttle, unless you specify a particular shuttle company.

The typical taxi fare from San Diego International airport to the San Diego Convention Center is $11-$13. Many companies provide taxicab service at San Diego International Airport. If you need a taxi, simply follow the signs leading to the Transportation Plazas. A Customer Service Representative will place you with the first available taxi, unless you specify a particular taxicab company.

Uber & Lyft

Uber and Lyft are transportation services that operate similar to Taxicabs. In order to use these services you must have downloaded the phone app and set-up an account before requesting the service.

There is a surcharge added to your fare for airport pickups, this surcharge varies based on day and time. For more specific pricing please download the appropriate app and use the "Estimate Fare" feature.
