Session Description

Obese patients constitute a significant proportion of the dialysis population. Obesity is associated with inflammation. This session ill discusses the role of adipokines on the outcome of dialysis patients, the modality choice of dialysis, the mechanism of reverse epidemiology, and the role of bariatric surgery in managing patients with obesity who require dialysis.
