Session Description
This session includes the presentation of four patients with glomerular disease and discussion of presenting features, differential diagnoses, renal biopsy findings, prognosis, treatment, and follow-up. The cases are presented in tandem by a renal pathologist and nephrologist, and the panel consists of four nephrologists with expertise in glomerular disease.
Learning Objective(s)
- Discuss current controversies in the treatment of glomerulonephritis
- Describe the role of renal biopsy in the management of patients with glomerular disease
- Explain the importance of good communication between nephrologist and renal pathologist in establishing an accurate diagnosis
- Identify the critical features of a renal biopsy report
- Define the differential diagnoses for patients with glomerular disease
