Bench to Bedside: What's New in Lupus Nephritis?
October 23, 2020 | 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Location: On-Demand
Session Description
Managing lupus nephritis remains a challenge in the clinical setting, but recent advances have shed significant light on the immune landscape and underlying pathogenesis of this clinical disorder. Promising clinical trials and more sophisticated multitarget therapeutic approaches have the potential to improve patient outcomes. This session reviews recent advances in the pathogenesis and management of lupus nephritis from the bench to the bedside.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe the immune cell landscape in lupus nephritis
- Discuss the rationale and mechanism of action of novel therapeutic targets in lupus nephritis
- Identify evidence-based strategies for the management of complex lupus nephritis, including pregnant and refractory patients
Learning Pathway(s)
- Glomerular Diseases
- Transplantation/Immunology
Moderators
- Jai Radhakrishnan, MD, MBBS, MS, FASN
