Dr Ya-Chung Tian, Chief of Department of Nephrology, Linkou Chang-Gung Memorial Hospital (LCGMH), Taiwan, is interested in clinical trials and the research of renal fibrosis and polyomavirus BK infection in kidney transplant recipients. He graduated from Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, in 1993, received resident and fellow training from 1993 to 1998 in LCGMH, and became an attending physician in 1998 at the same hospital. He also received PhD training in the Kidney Institute of Cardiff University, United Kingdom from 2000-2003. He was appointed to Chief of Division of Clinical Nephrology and Peritoneal Dialysis, LCGMH from 2009 to 2014 and Chief of Division of Kidney Transplantation, LCGMH from 2014 to 2016. He became Chief of Department of Nephrology, LCGMH since 2016. He received the Academic Award of the Taiwan Society of Nephrology in 2007 and 2013. He was appointed to Associate Professor in 2008 and Academic Professor in 2015. Currently, he is the member of the Council of Taiwan Society of Nephrology and the member of the Council of Taiwan Transplant Society. He is currently Chief of Department of Nephrology, LCGMH and Chief Coordinator of all Nephrology Departments of Chang-Gung Medical Foundation.

Yun Han, MS, PhD, is Assistant Research Scientist in the Division of Nephrology, Department of Internal Medicine and at Kidney Epidemiology and Cost Center, University of Michigan. She obtained her MS in health policy and management at University of California, Los Angeles and received her PhD degree in social and administrative sciences in pharmacy at University of Michigan. Her research interests centre around health services research and pharmacoepidemiology. As a health services researcher, Yun has over 8 years of experience in using claim data to assess healthcare utilization and treatment outcomes. Yun is skilled in statistical modeling techniques and methodology, and has exceptional understanding and training in epidemiological principles. She had assisted the analytical work for the CDC CKD Surveillance Project and in the United States Renal Data System.She is currently involved research projects related with assessing quality of care in patients with chronic kidney disease and spatial analysis of kidney disease.
