Big Data for the Kidneys, Including the Barry M. Brenner, MD, Endowed Lectureship

November 04, 2021 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Location: Live-Stream, Virtual Only

Session Description

Data science and related technological advances, including machine learning, digital nephropathology, phenomics, and applied precision medicine, have the potential to advance our understanding of disease pathogenesis. This session reviews the rationale for these approaches and explores their practical utility in diagnosing and treating glomerular disease.

ASN gratefully acknowledges Monarch Pharmaceuticals for support of the Barry M. Brenner, MD, Endowed Lectureship.

Learning Objective(s)

  • Describe the use of machine learning in the diagnosis and treatment of glomerular disease
  • Define the rationale and utility of digital pathology and computational image analysis in nephropathology
