Session Description

CKD-MBD, a disorder of bone and mineral metabolism, is present in the majority of patients with CKD. Clinical outcomes include fractures, cardiovascular events, and death. Treatment of CKD-MBD has advanced over the past several years because of the introduction of novel agents to control PTH and prevent vascular calcifications. This session reviews studies that may inform clinical decision-making.
