Session Description

The COVID-19 pandemic forced acceleration in the use of telehealth in nephrology practices. Telehealth has facilitated continual monitoring in a time of social distancing. However, it is not without challenges, including a steep learning curve. This session highlights the promise and challenges of telehealth in nephrology, key policy implications of its implementation, suggestions to enhance patient-centeredness of telehealth encounters, and the appropriate use of e-consultations.
