Session Description

Advanced heart failure is increasingly common and is associated with fluid and electrolyte disturbances that require nephrology consultation. This session evaluates the diagnostic and prognostic significance of cardiac biomarkers, reviews heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and discusses management of fluid overload and hyponatremia in patients with advanced heart failure.
