Session Description

This event provides a perspective of what motivates policymakers in Washington, DC, to become involved in advancing kidney health policy. The Honorable Suzan DelBene presents the Christopher R. Blagg Endowed Lecture on "Why Everyone Is a Stakeholder in Kidney Health Policy." Then, Roslyn Mannon, MD, FASN, Timothy Pflederer, MD, and Kyle Hill discuss what policies are needed to advance kidney health and transplantation and strategies for engaging policy makers to enact policy that will continue to improve the care of people living with kidney diseases.
