Session Description

The role of the kidney biopsy in diagnosing and monitoring diabetic kidney disease (DKD) remains controversial. With the advent of newer technologies, including more sophisticated molecular approaches, this session reconsiders the role of the biopsy from both a diagnostic and research point of view.
