Basic/Clinical Science Session
Emerging Therapeutic Approaches in AKI: New Targets and How to Reach Them
November 04, 2022 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: W308, Orange County Convention Center‚ West Building
Session Description
Despite advances in clinical care and understanding of the underlying pathophysiology, treatment for AKI remains a major unmet medical need. This session describes how novel therapeutic targets and nanoparticle-based strategies may change future AKI therapeutics.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe the use of senolytic therapy to promote kidney repair
- Evaluate the use of mitochondrial therapy for kidney injury
- Discuss the application of nanotherapeutics in kidney biology
- Examine the clinical potential of nanoparticles in AKI therapeutics
