Location: W224, Orange County Convention Center‚ West Building
Session Description
This session explores advances in the understanding of how environmental factors may influence intrarenal metabolic pathways. This session explores the role of diet, certain lipid species, autophagy, and mitochondria in modulating kidney injury in diabetes and diabetic kidney disease (DKD).
ASN thanks the American Diabetes Association for assistance with this session.
Learning Objective(s)
- Summarize new knowledge about diet and DKD
- Discuss updates on the role of autophagy in DKD
- Elucidate mitochondrial function in relation to DKD
