Reimagining Nephrology Fellowship Training: Recommendations from the 2022 ASN Task Force on the Future of Nephrology

November 03, 2022 | 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM

Location: W315, Orange County Convention Center‚ West Building

Session Description

The ASN Task Force on the Future of Nephrology was charged in April 2022 to reconsider all aspects of the future of nephrology and determine how to best prepare nephrology fellows for the challenges and opportunities the future will bring. Recommendations of the task force are part of the ASN response to requests from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) as these organizations determine what changes should be made to nephrology certification and recertification (ABIM) and fellowship training program (ACGME) requirements. This event reviews the recommendations, provides stakeholder perspectives, and responds to inquiries from the community.

Moderators: Keisha Gibson, Mark Rosenberg
Task Force Members: Sharon Anderson, Samira Farouk, Robert Hoover, Benjamin Humphreys, Janis Orlowski, Suneel Udani, Josh Waitzman, Melissa West
