Innovative Immunosuppression and Monitoring Strategies in Pediatric Kidney Transplantation

November 03, 2023 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM

Location: Room 105, Pennsylvania Convention Center

Session Description

Pediatric kidney transplantation remains the therapy of choice for ESKD; however, long-term allograft outcomes remain suboptimal in children. This session reviews recent advances in biomarkers and the use of biological agents that have the potential to advance the field of pediatric transplantation and improve clinical outcomes.

Learning Objective(s)

  • Summarize current and future strategies for immunosuppression and their impact on long-term allograft outcomes
  • List current biologics (monoclonal antibodies) that are useful in pediatric kidney transplantation
  • Describe innovative ways to use biomarkers to improve clinical outcomes in pediatric kidney transplantation
  • Discuss current novel clinical trials in pediatric kidney transplantation

Learning Pathway(s)

  • Pediatric Nephrology
  • Kidney Transplantation
