Leave No Kidney Behind: Optimizing Utilization of Deceased and Living Donor Kidneys
November 03, 2023 | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Location: Room 115, Pennsylvania Convention Center
Session Description
There are more than 90,000 people waiting for a kidney transplant in the United States, yet thousands of deceased donor kidneys are discarded every year, and potential living kidney donors often face logistical and financial hurdles that can make donating a kidney burdensome. This session addresses the need to develop, improve, implement, and measure new tools and pathways for increasing access to kidney transplants for everyone who needs a life-saving kidney transplant or wishes to become a living donor.
ASN thanks the ASN Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee for assistance with this session.
