Session Description
Started on January 1, 2021, the ESKD Treatment Choices (ETC) Model is intended to encourage greater use of home dialysis and kidney transplants for Medicare beneficiaries with kidney failure. This session reviews and analyzes the effectiveness of ETC while presenting additional opportunities to increase use of and access to home dialysis and transplantation through policy and regulatory implementation.

- Describe how ETC, other models, and value-based care initiatives are transforming the landscape of kidney care

- Outline strategies to successfully increase home dialysis and transplantation in one's practice and meet ETC's metric targets
- Discuss legislative and regulatory advocacy opportunities nephrologists have to shape government policies in ways that increase use of and access to home dialysis transplantation
