Session Description

Lupus nephritis (LN) is a major cause of morbidity and mortality among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. In this session, promising biomarkers that may pave the way toward an improved management of patients with LN are discussed.

• Discuss the challenges of applying novel biomarkers in a clinical setting
• Specify the structural biomarkers (pathology) currently used and areas of improvement
• Explain how biomarkers are used to guide targeted therapies for LN
• Describe the application of single-cell sequencing in biomarker development for LN
