November 02, 2023 | 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Location: Ballroom B, Pennsylvania Convention Center
Session Description
After many years without new classes of antihypertensive medications, several promising agents are now coming to the forefront. This session describes important, previously neglected mechanisms that are being targeted for BP management and novel therapeutic approaches to managing hypertension in patients with CKD.
Learning Objective(s)
- Describe how a relatively common endocrine disorder can affect kidney function if BP is not controlled
- Discuss new agents that are in Phase III trials and soon to be released for treatment of hypertension
- Assess agents that show promise as long acting once-daily or twice-yearly agents to control BP
- Identify mechanisms of novel therapeutic agents for the treatment of hypertension
Learning Pathway(s)
- Hypertension and Cardiorenal Disorders
