Session Description

This early program focuses on the latest advances in multi-omics for researchers and clinicians interested in kidney diseases, clarifying the best omics tools to use for specific research and clinical applications and to introduce nanotherapeutic platforms that are being developed for kidney diseases. Highlighted topics include descriptions of specific omics technologies, analytic approaches, and nanotherapeutic platforms. Experts discuss the best multi-omics tools for nephrology research, explain why multi-omics should be used to investigate kidney diseases, and outline the best omics technologies available for the researcher in various kidney diseases. Experts also address how to apply team science to problems in kidney diseases, focusing on topics such as AKI, hypertension, diabetes, CKD, open artificial intelligence, and nanotherapeutic platforms.

Session Objectives

Upon completion of this program, the participant will be able to: 1) identify the omics tools and nanotherapeutic platforms available for kidney disease research; 2) discuss current omics approaches and technologies; 3) explain how to apply specific omics approaches to specific research topics in kidney research; 4) describe how to use team science to advance research in kidney diseases; and 5) identify kidney-specific nanodelivery platforms.
