Session Description

Technology has always been the foundation of kidney replacement therapy. This session reviews exciting opportunities for leveraging new technologies to improve the clinical management of ESKD and its complications.

• Discuss technologies for assessing volume status and monitoring hemodynamics
• Explain the potential role for point-of-care monitoring of electrolytes in the dialysis unit
• Describe current and novel approaches for vascular access management
• Summarize recent progress in bringing on-demand generation of peritoneal dialysis fluid to clinical care
