This session reviews current practices and approaches to resistant hypertension, including preclinical and clinical data of newer therapies and proposed implementation.

• Describe the mechanisms underlying resistant hypertension
• Identify patients with resistant hypertension and outline approaches to treatment
• Discuss newer therapies in the management of resistant hypertension
• Explain how to use new hypertension therapies in conjunction with standard of care
