Kidney STARS (Students and Residents) Application

Applications will open on Wednesday, May 14, 2025. The application deadline is Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

The goal of the ASN Kidney Students and Residents (STARS) program is to stimulate interest in nephrology among medical students, residents, and graduate students and to provide the opportunity to explore nephrology careers. The program is for those with an interest in nephrology (who have not yet committed to applying to a nephrology or pediatric nephrology fellowship) and for those with an interest in kidney research.

In addition to tailored events and networking opportunities, this program provides $1,500 travel support and complimentary registration to attend the Annual Meeting during ASN Kidney Week. Watch this video to learn more! Please note: this program is only held in person. By accepting a spot in this program, participants agree to abide by all Health and Safety protocols as set forth by ASN.

Support for Kidney STARS is provided by Vertex Pharmaceuticals and ASN.
