Congressional Briefing on Innovation in Kidney Disease

May 1, 2014

ASN and several other organizations co-hosted a congressional briefing on kidney research and innovation in conjunction with Kidney Community Advocacy Day 2014. Congressional Kidney Caucus co-chairs Rep. Tom Marino (R-PA) and Rep. Jim McDermott (D-WA) served as honorary co-hosts, and both attended to address the audience and describe their personal interests in kidney issues.

Nearly 100 people attended the standing-room only event, which was also cosponsored by the National Renal Administrators Association, NephCure, Northwest Kidney Centers, UC San Francisco, the University of Washington, and Vanderbilt University.
