ASN Advocating for New Kidney Legislation
ASN applauds both Congressional Kidney Caucus co-chair Rep. Tom Marino (R-PA) and longtime friend of the kidney community Rep. John Lewis (D-GA) for introducing the Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act (HR 4814). This legislation invests in kidney research, improves our understanding of kidney failure in minority populations, expands access to kidney disease education, and addresses the nephrology workforce crisis.
