This webinar provides an overview of the importance of identifying and tracking possible Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) in the outpatient dialysis setting, as well as suggestions for decreasing potential transmission of CDI within the dialysis facility.

Session Objectives: Upon completion of this session, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the potential causes of CDI and its impact on individuals receiving dialysis therapy.
  • List potential actions to be taken to decrease transmission of CDI in the outpatient dialysis facility.
  • Compare the recommended processes for management of CDI to those used in your facility and potential modifications which may be needed to decrease the likelihood of transmission.
