Register for Dialysis after Discharge: Transitions of Care for COVID-19 Positive Patients

Experts will discuss challenges and options associated with preparing to care for the patients returning to dialysis, and those who are new to dialysis following an episode of COVID-19-related AKI. Topics will include:

  • Acute and chronic patients discharged to an in-center hemodialysis setting, presented by Tom Watson, MD, FASN (Nephrology Associates, Birmingham, AL)
  • Reimbursement and waivers for acute PD, presented by Vesh Srivatana, MD (The Rogosin Institute)
  • Acute and chronic patients discharged to a home or rehab setting, presented by Mihran Naljayan, MD, FASN (LSU HSC School of Medicine)
