Susie L. Hu, MD, FASN, BRCU Faculty

ASN Biography

Susie L. Hu, MD, completed her internal medicine residency training and nephrology fellowship at Tufts Medical Center and joined the Division of Kidney Disease and Hypertension of Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2003. Dr. Hu is currently the Associate Chief of Clinical Affairs for the division. She is also the Medical Director for the Peritoneal Dialysis program at Rhode Island Hospital and Medical Director for the Dialysis program at the DaVita North Providence unit.

Dr. Hu is the Co-Course Leader for the Brown University second-year renal course and serves on multiple Brown University Medical School committees, including the MD Curriculum Committee. Nationally, she has mentored students and residents in the ASN STARS program at the ASN annual meetings.

Dr. Hu also serves on the ASN Continuous Professional Development Committee; National Kidney Foundation Medical Advisory Board is Co-Ambassador to the ASN Onco-Nephrology Community and served on the ASN Onco-Nephrology Forum.

Additionally, Dr. Hu has also represented ASN on the American Urological Association Clinical Practice Guideline Committee on renal mass and localized renal cancer.
