Kalani L. Raphael, MD, MS, FASN, is a nephrologist and Professor of Medicine at University of Utah and VA Salt Lake City Health Care System. He is internationally recognized as a leader in the area of acid-base balance in CKD. A Native Hawaiian, Dr. Raphael is passionate about health equity for members of the Pacific Islander community.
