Peter G. Linde, MD

Dr. Peter G. Linde currently serves as Vice President and Global Medical Officer at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Prior to joining Thermo Fisher, he was Chief Medical Officer at Walden Biosciences as well as Morphic Therapeutic, before that he was Vice President, Medical Research at Acceleron Pharma, Inc., in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Peter is previously Board Certified in Nephrology and in Internal Medicine. He has more than twenty years of Drug and Device Development Experience in small and large companies, with therapeutic development experience spanning cardiorenal, hematology, and immunology development areas. During this time, with a business partner, Dr. Linde started, ran and sold a medical device company which innovated new hemodialysis technologies. He is an inventor on multiple issued patents and patent applications relating to pulmonary artery hypertension treatments as well as stem cell and extracorporeal organ support technologies. He is active in several nephrology societies including the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), the European Renal Association (ERA-EDTA) and the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
Dr. Linde graduated from MIT in 1988 with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Applied Biology. He completed medical school at the Stanford School of Medicine in 1993 and subsequently received his clinical training at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center (Internal Medicine) and at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School (Nephrology and Medical Transplantation fellowships). Following completion of his fellowships, Dr. Linde served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UCSF from 2006-2011.
