Phyllis August, MD, MPH, BRCU Faculty

Phyllis August, MD, MPH, is a graduate of Harvard University and Yale University, and completed her residency and a nephrology fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. She is a Professor of Medicine, Public Health, and Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Ralph A. Baer, MD Professor of Research in Medicine, and the Director of Nephrology and Hypertension at Weill Cornell Medical College. She is the Program Director for the Nephrology Fellowship at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and the Director of the Lang Center for Research and Education at NewYork Presbyterian/Queens. Her research has focused on hypertension and kidney disease during pregnancy, and hypertension associated with kidney disease.
