Raymond R. Townsend, MD, BRCU Faculty
Raymond R. Townsend, MD, is a graduate of LaSalle College and Hanemann University, completed his residency at Allegheny General Hospital, and a nephrology fellowship at Temple University Hospital. He is a Professor of Medicine and Director of Hypertension at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Townsend is an Editor for NephSAP at ASN and serves on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Clinical Hypertension at the American Society of Hypertension (ASH). In 2001, he received the Outstanding Lecturer Award from the Medical Student Class of 2002, and the Russell T. Elkinton Teaching award from Renal Fellows. His research includes hypertension and pharmacology.
