The ISN was saddened to learn of the death of esteemed colleague, Professor Momir H. Polenakovic, from Covid bronchopneumonia on March 6, 2021.

Prof. Polenakovic founded the Macedonian Society of Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs (MSNDTAO) and was co-founder of the Balkan Association of Nephrology, Dialysis, Transplantation and Artificial Organs (BANTAO).

He organized many international congresses and ISN-supported CME courses. His organizational skills and hospitality were recognized and admired by friends and colleagues attending these events.
