Kenneth M. Kornetsky

June 18, 1948 - August 18, 2025

Kenneth Mark Kornetsky grew up in Milton, Massachusetts, and earned his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College in 1970. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1974 as a member of its first class and completed his residency and nephrology fellowship at the Medical College of Virginia.

He moved to Warrenton, Virginia, in 1984 and established one of the region's first nephrology practices. For more than forty years, he provided kidney care to patients in Fauquier, Culpeper, and Prince William Counties.

Dr. Kornetsky served as Vice President of Medical Missionaries of Manassas and directed the St. Joseph Clinic in Thomassique, Haiti, beginning in 2007. He also taught students at the Fauquier Jewish Congregation and remained active in his community throughout his career. Dr. Kornetsky devoted his career to nephrology and to improving care for patients and communities he served.
